You should go to church with expectation, anticipating what God is going to do!
We live in a self-serve culture, and unfortunately this attitude has infiltrated the church. But it is not about you… it is about God!
It’s hard to complain to God about our suffering when we are standing at the foot of the cross!
The Bible tells us to be FILLED with the Spirit, but that is not a ‘one time’ experience. The word used means to be filled, and to be filled, and to be filled, again, and again, and again! Whatever you do… continue to be filled with the Spirit of God!
Before Peter was ever born… God knew. God knew that Peter would deny Jesus when He needed him the most, but also that Peter would repent and that Jesus would restore him. God knew that He would use Peter to preach the Gospel to thousands of people and start the early church… God knew!
You want to live your life your own way… you know you don’t want to be where you are, but you are too stubborn and refuse to go where God is telling you to go. Any you are suffering unnecessarily.
Hearing God’s Word won’t do anything if you do not respond to it! When Jesus saves you, you need to Get Up… and Make Your Bed!
We want to be lied to and have people tell us that all is good! So when we are confronted with God’s word and our sin, we get angry because we would rather hear a lie than to acknowledge the truth!
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Before time began Jesus already was! This Christmas, don’t just celebrate a baby in a manger… but a Messiah… a King… as Savior!
Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people? Because God knows something that you do not!!
